Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of projects in conjunction with department leadership, serving as a liaison to enhance understanding and inform decisions
Leads teams of professionals, ensuring projects are completed on time by assisting staff in development, implementation, review, and completion of project plans
Communicates project status and issues with executive sponsors, as needed
Determines financial outcomes in support of process and program initiatives
Analyzes service line profitability, evaluates labor initiatives, and assists with building business models for decision-making
Qualification
Required
Ability to help staff to frame issues and apply analytical and critical thinking
Skill to build effective teams with people of various backgrounds
Strong personal commitment and motivation
Exercise objective judgment in critical thinking skills
Strong interpersonal and managerial skills including: team player, collaborative, and approachable style
Ability to interact with hospital administrators, department directors, and business unit leaders to provide actionable information
Ability to problem solve, using methods to analyze, plan, implement, evaluate; and present the analysis and recommendations to management in a written or oral format
Working knowledge of healthcare accounting methods and reporting, standards development, costing methodologies, utilization measurements, and financial modeling
Ability to influence change, clarify ambiguity, and mobilize team members at all levels in the organization for meaningful action
Ability to compile and analyze financial information on trended data for financial decision-making
Ability to work in a project-oriented environment and in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
Strong computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets using Microsoft software platforms
Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English in order to carry out job requirements
Provides mentoring, training, and development assistance to Financial Analysts and Financial Managers
Confidence to effectively communicate and interact with employees at all levels in the organization
Bachelor's
3+ of relevant finance experience
Preferred
Master's
3+ of applicable healthcare financial management experience, including operational involvement and/or project management
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
