Manager, Marketing

Community Blood Center of Greater Kansas City is seeking a Manager of Marketing to develop national and local programs aimed at increasing donor frequency and growing the donor base. The role involves managing relationships with individuals and organizations to enhance community engagement and support the organization's strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Enterprise Donor Marketing team, develop appropriate national and local programs, tactics, and tools for building donor frequency, growing the donor base and other strategic priorities
Manage relationships with individuals and organizations that support the blood centers. Develop and manage partnerships to increase blood center exposure and effectiveness in local communities
In partnership with agencies, optimize media relationships and purchases to achieve strategic priorities. Reviews partnership agreements and media plans
As a member of the Enterprise team, helps directs marketing and communications team to create and promote programs to encourage blood donation and meet goals
Provides materials to other departments to ensure alignment on Enterprise and local marketing programs to ensure participation in marketing initiatives
Support Enterprise Marketing Leadership and other duties as assigned
Travels as required
Assists and supports team members
Communicates with supervisors and other CBC staff
Makes recommendations to improve organizational processes
Any related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Development or related fields or equivalent
5 years related experience
Experience engaging community and corporate leadership, board of directors, managers and peers
Valid vehicle operator's license (e.g., a Kansas or Missouri Driver's License)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Knowledge of Database Management
Knowledge of Missouri and Kansas driving laws as applicable
Highly organized and self-motivated
Strong attention to detail in all work processes
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Exceptional sales and marketing skills
Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization and customers in a helpful, courteous and friendly manner while demonstrating sensitivity to and respect for diverse populations
Flexibility in hours worked including evenings and weekends as needed
Thrives in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
Self-motivated and able to grow existing relationships while developing new business and networking within the service community
Exceptional written and oral communication skills and high attention to detail

Preferred

MBA or similar graduate degree is desirable
