This entry-to-mid-level role involves managing core HR functions, employee relations, and safety compliance, with expert training provided to build a foundation in corporate administration.

Responsibilities

Recruitment & Staffing: Record and transcribe interview notes. Maintain the ATS (Applicant Tracking System). Prepare HR documents and new hire packets. Coordinate new employee onboarding
Employee Relations: Serve as a secondary contact for employees. Learn and communicate basic knowledge of company used software, company benefits, and HR procedures
Document Administration & Record Keeping: Maintain current files and request new documentation. Act as a 'second pair of eyes' for HR Generalists and Safety Specialists to ensure audit readiness for Southern CA offices
Calendar Management: Take ownership of team calendars, tracking trainees and trainers, and assist in payroll reporting
Safety Documentation: Collect and review Accident & Incident reporting documentation for completeness before submission to the reporting team
Compliance Administration: Help drivers stay aware of compliance deadlines (licenses/certifications). Ensure timely responses to rack requests and safety requirements
Special Projects: Participate in or lead HR and Safety-related projects as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent required
1–2 years of general administrative experience
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Effective verbal and written communication
High attention to detail and organizational skills
A critical thinker who is task-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required

Preferred

Continuing education is a plus
