Program Coordinator
Northwestern University is seeking a Program Coordinator for the McCormick Office of Administration, Finance, Facilities & Planning. The role involves coordinating administrative processes, providing operational support, and managing research appointments and compliance in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
Independently responds to & composes correspondence
Creates & maintains standard spreadsheets &/or databases
Prepares queries, reports, statistics, tables, charts, etc. based on information compiled from various sources
Determines format, elements, trends, etc
Verifies invoices & expense reports; &/or reconcile to budget
Maintains websites &/or blogs
Creates new web pages
Updates standard information/data within the application's content management program
Coordinates programming, educational, student, alumni, workshops, meetings, etc. including speakers, agendas, etc
Develops plans and arranges meetings, workshops, events, etc. designed to exchange information, promote research objectives, and to build internal and external relationships within NU
Ensures that event details including communication, venues, presenters, travel arrangements, materials, refreshments and technology are arranged and completed in an appropriate and timely manner
Case Manager for Research Appointments in the McCormick School of Engineering which includes advising faculty, staff, and incoming researchers
Ensures compliance with Northwestern policies and government regulations
Prepares documentation as required
Manages the Research Appointment approval and offer letter process within McCormick in collaboration with appropriate partner offices across the university
Responds to inquiries
Provides basic interpretation of policies & procedures
Researches information to resolve problems or issues
Ensures human resources programs, policies, & procedures are implemented & consistently applied
Assists in on-boarding new administrative staff
Maintains excellent working relationship with Office of Human Resources
Administers & maintains existing strategic plans
Participates with area/unit senior staff in the conceptualization, development and presentation of materials used in functional operations
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience
1 year program/project administration or other relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and PowerPoint is required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant experience
Minimum two years' experience in higher education and/or customer service
Knowledgeable about PeopleSoft systems and Microsoft Office
