Software Developer/Architect

They are seeking a Software Developer and Architect who will be responsible for developing, coding, testing, and evaluating software products, while understanding software architecture across various Aircraft Survivability Equipment products.

Responsibilities

Work as a member of the ASE SW development team to design, code and test SW (tools, libraries, applications)
Review SW related deliveries from vendors, emphasizing knowledge of the SW development life-cycle artifacts
Be able to support multiple concurrent development efforts at different stages of SW life-cycle
Collaborate with other SW team members on competing priorities as well as provide status to leadership
Understand how system level changes can impact SW performance, design, or testability
Understand SW development methodologies, road-maps, and planning
Provide guidance on FACE, MOSA, and/or other DoD SW architectures
Understand portability of applications, conformance, and layered SW development approaches
Support ASE product offices to provide knowledge and evaluation criteria on vendor proposed architectures; help with understanding impacts of design

Required

Education: 5 years with BS/BA, 3 years with MS/MA, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
Clearance: Active Secret clearance
2 years hands on experience with one or more of the following: C, C++, Ada, Python
Be able to read and understand technical documents, drawings, and capable of balancing multiple tasks and priorities
Understand system software interfaces, requirements, and inter-operating with other systems
Experience with embedded programming languages and be fluent in the Microsoft Office tool-set
Knowledge of SW architecture and development methodology

Preferred

Experience working in a DoD acquisition project management office
