Responsibilities
Pull and compile general ledger (G/L) detail to support tax and regulatory filings
Populate required forms and scheduled using financial data
Prepare and process check requisitions and EFT payments
Coordinate closely with Accounts Payable (A/P) to ensure timely and accurate payments
Partner with internal accounting teams on 1) Schedule T preparation, 2) annual statement support and 3) gathering finalized return data
Extract and organize information after final tax returns/annual statements are completed
Maintain organized documentation and support audit/compliance inquiries as needed
Provide general accounting and operational support in support of senior team members
Support process improvement and documentation where applicable
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of experience in accounting operations, financial reporting support, or tax or regulatory support
Working knowledge of general ledger systems, payment processing (checks, EFT) and basic accounting principles
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with financial data
Comfortable working cross-functionally with accounting, tax and A/P teams
Preferred
Insurance or premium tax experience is a strong plus
