Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer

Responsibilities
Deep Knowledge of Cloud architecture, Design & Deployment models (public, private, hybrid), and Cloud Services (IaaS, IaC, PaaS, SaaS)
In depth understanding of networking in the Cloud, including TCP/IP, VPC, VPN, DHCP, Load balancers, firewalls, web application firewalls, DNS and routing
Drive innovation by proposing new changes that will improve overall stability and help with simplifying Infrastructure and cloud services
Strong understanding of Windows and Linux server environments
Deep knowledge of Kubernetes Container based deployments (AKS, Docker etc.), including entire lifecycle from deployment, capacity management and configuration
Experience in Microsoft Active Directory/Entra ID design, Group Policy, replication and management
Extensive experience with automating, provisioning and configuration management of Infrastructure Services using automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, bash, python or Azure DevOps
Experience with Implementing (IaC) Infrastructure as code across the whole lifecycle of provisioning, maintaining and upgrading servers in the environment
Familiar with designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions or Concourse
Ensuring that Cloud Infrastructure adheres to security standards and compliance requirements
Deep knowledge of Cloud Security best practices, including IAM (Identity and Access Management), encryption, security groups, business continuity, vulnerability and key management
Expertise in Cloud Observability and log aggregation tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace Splunk, Kibana)
Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact system performance or availability
Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations to provide real-time insights into system performance and health
Design and implement meaningful dashboards that will allow for visibility of key performance metrics that enable teams to capacity plan, and make informed decisions based on data points
Create real time Cloud cost reporting and analysis using Cloud Native tools such as Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer or Google Cloud Billing
Deep understanding of Capacity planning to help drive with right sizing and cost optimization efforts
Subject matter expert for advanced troubleshooting and resolving complex Infrastructure issues. Last escalation point
Lead blameless postmortems to identify root cause, and track any corrective actions for prevention based on impact severity
Mentor junior engineers by providing documentation, hosting knowledge transfer sessions for best practices and Cloud Strategies
Provide detailed technical documentation to ensure seamless transitions between resources and internal teams
Provides periodic off-hours on-call support for production and development environments

Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering and/or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
Minimum of 6 years of related professional experience in an engineering role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms
Extensive cloud services architecture experience in engineering technical solutions for Microsoft-centric solutions based on industry standards using Azure; specific, hands-on experience with Office 365, Azure Core Platform (Compute, Storage, Networking), Azure Services, Azure AD, Azure Automation, Azure CLI, and PowerShell scripting required
Extensive experience with provisioning a virtualized cloud service environment; administering and configuring Office 365 Productivity Suite, OneDrive, Skype for Business, and Teams
