SENIOR DATA ANALYST - (ADMINISTRATOR V) Office of Equity and Transformation
The State of Maryland is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support COMStat, the agency's performance management and accountability system. The role involves creating data products, maintaining data collection systems, and documenting data analysis needs to promote transparency and continuous improvement in public service.

Maintaining systems to collect and analyze data
Documenting data tables, coding, and supporting internal data analysis needs
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
Six years of administrative staff or professional work
Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience
Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience
Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for five years of the required experience
Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience
For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service
Preferred
A Master of Science or equivalent or higher degree in one or more of the following fields: Data Science, Statistics, Data Analytics & Visualization, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar field of study
Six or more years experience in designing, operating, or managing a data analytics program
Six or more years experience in designing, operating, or managing an Open Government Data program
Four or more years experience creating reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations using Microsoft PowerBI and/or SAP Business Objects
Experience in designing and maintaining the technical infrastructure that supports data collection, integration, and analysis
