Facilities Manager

The Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of all Tempus facilities, focusing on daily operations, strategic planning, fiscal management, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

Ensure the upkeep of buildings and grounds, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to maintain optimal conditions
Develop and manage budgets for maintenance, repairs, and capital projects. Monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and identify opportunities for savings
Negotiate contracts with service providers for cleaning, security, catering, and other services. Supervise multi-disciplinary teams, including maintenance and cleaning staff
Ensure that facilities comply with health and safety regulations. Create and maintain emergency response plans and enforce safety protocols
Plan and allocate space effectively to meet the needs of the organization. Oversee office relocations, expansions, and refurbishments. Plan and oversee physical moves
Manage relationships with contractors and external suppliers, ensuring that work is completed satisfactorily and in compliance with specifications
Collaborate with management to plan for future development in line with strategic business objectives. Implement facility management policies and procedures governing facility maintenance and repair, space planning and utilization, and design and construction
Performance management based on common defined productivity metrics
Quality management across team activities with monitoring of standards and adherence
Oversee the mentoring of current staff and create succession planning and career pathing
Develop monthly, quarterly and annual goals and action plans for the team
Establish group targets and strategy for achieving targets
Analyze data and prepare reports for upper management on key metrics
Lead department meetings
Liaise with other departments as necessary
Encourage and provide bi-directional communications
Identify, design, and implement process improvements
Support overall mission and objectives of Tempus Unlimited
Complete other duties as assigned

Required

OSHA 10 Hour Certification
High school diploma or equivalent required
5-7 year of relevant work experience in facilities as well as supervisory experience
Valid US driver's license

Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
