Systems Engineer - Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

Perform requirements elicitation using behavioral artifacts such as use cases
Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews
Adhere to DOORS processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products
Act as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts as required
Be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development including iteration planning, providing status, and supporting agile team leadership

Required

A final secret clearance is required prior to starting
Demonstrated ability to analyze high level needs, refine capabilities into a coherent set of requirements, and deliver a fielded product
Proven experience interacting with customers to elicit requirements and with stakeholders to convey requirement intent
Understanding of systems engineering processes and principles, with a track record of applying them to product solutions
Experience in requirements elicitation, including use of behavior diagrams to decompose and analyze requirements
Ability to produce key systems engineering artifacts (e.g., specifications, Interface Control Documents, use cases, system architecture descriptions, trade studies)
Experience working collaboratively with systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop integrated solutions

Preferred

Prior experience with Missile Defense Systems
Familiarity with complex Command and Control (C2) systems
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Background in systems analysis, metric development, and architecture development
Additional expertise in stakeholder communication and technical documentation
Strong written and oral communication skills; capable of clearly presenting technical approaches, findings, and engineering plans
