Monitors charge capture and charge reconciliation for all specialty areas
Works with assigned clinical departments to ensure a complete and accurate charge capture is reflected in the clinical documentation
Monitors and work account work queues
Identifies any trends in charges. Communicates issues with the leadership
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
2 years Charge Capture or Outpatient Coding
2 years Knowledge in HCPCS, ICD-10 and CPT coding
Preferred
Bachelors Degree, will count as 1 year of additional experience
Masters Degree, will count as 1 year of additional experience
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) - American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)
Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) - American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)
CRCR - Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA)
