Responsibilities
Design and deployment of enterprise search solutions using Fusion and Solr
Development of automated processes for bulk and real-time indexing from Hadoop, databases, and flat files
Performance troubleshooting related to CPU usage, latency, throughput, and memory leaks
Execution of capacity planning, benchmarking, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for search platforms
Troubleshooting of Fusion/Spark and connector failures
Integration of observability into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams
Qualification
Required
Expertise in Apache Solr and Lucidworks Fusion platform administration
Advanced knowledge of SolrCloud components, including ZooKeeper, shards, replicas, and leader election
Proficiency in Solr JVM tuning, specifically heap/off-heap management, Garbage Collection (GC), threads, and caches
Hands-on experience with Solr indexing optimization, including commit strategies and merge policies
Ability to design and manage Elasticsearch clusters, including mappings, shards, and Query DSL tuning
Skill in implementing security protocols such as TLS, RBAC, and audit logging for search platforms
Experience building and tuning Fusion ingestion and query pipelines
Technical capability to manage custom JARs, patches, and vendor-led upgrades
Familiarity with observability and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic
Design and deployment of enterprise search solutions using Fusion and Solr
