Financial Institutions Examiner
The California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is responsible for protecting consumers and overseeing financial service providers. They are seeking a Financial Institutions Examiner to participate in the examinations of state-licensed credit unions and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
Participating in the examinations of State licensed credit unions conducted in accordance with the Uniform Financial Institutions Rating System and the applicable State and Federal laws and regulations
Reporting conclusions in a memorandum of their assigned area or in a Report of Examination
Coordinating the work of examiners assigned to an examination as Examiner In Charge (EIC)
Reviewing and editing work paper and report comments of other examiners
Assisting with or conducting examination fieldwork and exit meetings with management of licensees and/or affiliates
Qualification
Required
Possession of Minimum Qualifications (MQ) will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment
If you are meeting MQ's with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification
Official transcripts may be required upon appointment
Interested applicants must include a copy of their complete transcripts showing completion of required coursework
Please submit a copy of your college transcripts that contain the following information: name of institutions, completion date of degree conferred, and semester or quarter credits earned
Applicants who completed their education outside of the US must obtain and submit verification of U.S. course/degree equivalency
The position requires incumbents pass a Background Investigation prior to being hired
The Background Investigation may include Criminal Background, Fingerprinting, and a review of any governmental records
In addition, other available sources of background information may be reviewed prior to appointment
This position is subject to Title 10, 250.30 of the California Code of Regulations, the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation's Conflict of Interest Regulations
The incumbent is required to submit a Statements of Economic Interests (Form 700) within 30 days of assuming office, annually by April 1st and within 30 days of leaving office
