Responsibilities
Monitor data or infrastructure system networks for various messages, alarms, or issues
Identify issues or problems and resolves as appropriate; escalates when necessary
Troubleshoot problems using scripts and standard, routine procedures; escalates as appropriate
Initiate resolution as appropriate for enterprise level routers and switches
Interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance
Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as directed by management
Maintain required security posture on all network equipment in accordance with DoD and local command mandates and requirements, including updates, STIGs, IOS upgrades, and other basic network security requirements
Support special projects and day‐to‐day operations as needed or assigned by the site lead
Support on-call rotation schedule
Qualification
Required
Active CompTIA Security + or CCNP Security certification
Active CCNA Certification
Active DOD Secret clearance
9 years' network experience analyzing, identifying, and resolving complex network hardware, circuit, and transmission logic problems
Currently possess an Active DoD Secret security clearance
Active CompTIA Security + or CCNP Security certification
Active CCNA Certification
Minimum 8 years' senior level experience with of LAN switching, including Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP), Port Security, Spanning Tree, and Layer 2 and 3 switching configurations
Minimum 8 years' senior level experience with Layer 3 routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, etc.) and best practices on implementation
Minimum 8 years' senior level experience with L1/L2 network troubleshooting (Unclassified and Classified)
Experienced with programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting encryption devices at network points of presence including management via GEM-X or other DoD management tools
Experienced with DoD COMSEC management processes and procedures
Experienced with DoD network and application security hardening requirements
MUST BE A US CITIZEN
Preferred
Experienced with CISCO ISE and CISCO DNA
Experienced working at the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB)
Knowledge of Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCR
