Lead, Generator Field Service Technician
Florida Detroit Diesel Allison is searching for a Lead, Electrical Field Service Technician. The role involves diagnosing and repairing power generation equipment, coordinating activities of lower-level technicians, and ensuring high-quality service standards are met.

Responsibilities
Accurately trouble shoot and diagnose all problems with power generation equipment including problems with Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), and generator controls AC and DC
Make repair recommendations to customers; identify and order appropriate parts to complete repairs
Perform all repairs on power generation equipment and related support equipment; replace support equipment as necessary
Perform routine maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules
Utilize measuring equipment including multimeters, ampmeters and megohmmeters for the diagnosis and repair of equipment
Perform load testing via dry type load bank test equipment and perform building tests utilizing automatic transfer switches and related controls
Explain and demonstrate electrical service procedures and techniques to lower-level Electrical Shop Technicians
Assist lower-level Electrical Shop Technicians in resolving technical problems and advise supervisor of complex problems
May interpret job orders or other documentation for lower-level Electrical Shop Technicians
May assign and revise work assignments to lower-level Electrical Shop Technicians as required by priorities and work availability
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely

Qualification
Required
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Four to ten years related experience
