Responsibilities

Apply the engineering design process to develop prototypes and/or recommend process and product enhancements that result in more robust, innovative, and agile capabilities
Create visualizations that will highlight acquisition and systems engineering needs and trends
Conduct research on disruptive technologies that will change the space industry over the next decade
Participate in cross-organizational teams to support research, prototype development, or technical system engineering assessments
Communicate task progress, results, technical issues, and recommendations to management, customers and/or peers in a timely manner
Present a briefing on all aspects of the summer experience, including task assignments, progress, and intern activities, to management and peers
Training and mentorship will be provided

Required

Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university program pursuing a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full-time after completion of the internship
Junior class standing completed by internship start date
Minimum GPA of 3.0
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
Transcripts required
Strong written and oral communication skills
Must work well in a team environment
Possess organizational, time management and project management skills
Demonstrate flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational need
Interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations

Preferred

GPA of 3.5 or higher
Active security clearance
Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Java
Familiarity with databases, data science, visualization applications
