This role involves designing and maintaining backend services, building RESTful APIs, and enhancing applications on the IBM Maximo platform.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Node.js
Build and consume RESTful APIs to support enterprise applications and integrations
Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions
Support and enhance applications built on the IBM Maximo platform (training provided)
Assist with system integrations between Maximo and other enterprise systems
Participate in the upgrade and modernization of systems, including migration to MAS 9
Support mobile-focused enhancements for field and operational teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues
Contribute to documentation, technical standards, and best practices
Qualification
Required
3+ years of professional experience with Python
Strong experience with Node.js / server-side JavaScript
Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
Experience building and consuming REST APIs
Familiarity with full stack or backend development in enterprise environments
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a hybrid team environment
Preferred
Experience with IBM Maximo or other Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems
Exposure to utilities, energy, or infrastructure-related systems
Experience with system integrations and middleware
Familiarity with mobile or field service applications
Experience supporting system upgrades or platform migrations
Knowledge of cloud or modern application architectures
