Responsibilities
Provide middleware administration duties, ensuring production stability and system efficiency
Deliver middleware enterprise projects and regulatory legislative initiatives
Ensure middleware platforms are patched with the most current version of software
Work with customers (application teams and/or testing teams) on a daily basis, providing WebSphere and Java support
Interface with internal customers and external vendors for consultation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Execute production changes for integrated and regulatory releases with precision
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in Java/Linux Middleware Engineering
Proficiency in WebSphere, JBoss, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, Tomcat, and Appian administration
Knowledge of shell, jython, and Perl scripting
Experience with tools such as BladeLogic, Dynatrace, JIRA, and Ansible Tower
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
Preferred
Experience serving as a J2EE architect and making recommendations on J2EE best practices
Experience in designing WebSphere infrastructure and topology for high availability and failover capability
Experience providing technical consultation to team members and supported areas
