Purchasing Manager
ImagiCorps is a dynamic Top 50 Fabricator of events and branded experiences, seeking a Purchasing Manager to drive strategic sourcing and vendor management. The role involves overseeing the full contract lifecycle, building relationships with vendors, and ensuring compliance while managing budgets and project requirements.

Responsibilities
Establish and grow relationships while delivering on time production within budget limitations
Lead and train staff to plan, and to expand their sourcing knowledge and empower them to become more efficient in the process of finding favorable solutions
Embody a cross-collaboration style mapping to “best in class” insights, learnings, and practices
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of personalities and communication styles, including in high pressure or challenging situations
Negotiate favorable terms and conditions (pricing, SLAs, liability, termination) within contracts, working closely with Controller to ensure clarity and enforceability
Acts as the company’s representative in negotiations with suppliers
Anticipates potential issues and, when they do arise, resolves grievances with vendors and suppliers
Recognizes and effectively addresses competing interests and priorities of various stakeholders
Prepares and processes purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment
Maintains purchasing and recordkeeping systems and analyzes data to drive continual improvements
Evaluates and approves conditions to qualify and move forward with purchasing from a vendor
Ability to provide easy-to-understand and attractive price comparisons
Develop new or modify existing tools to improve departmental efficiency
Sourcing sub-contract labor and production partners including the ability to curate, manage, and extend both RFP and RFI initiatives when needed
Bases costs for the budget and manages the transfer of risk, performance, quality, and other requirements for the project in selection of (and in contracts with) the project suppliers and partners
Oversee contract execution, monitor compliance, manage renewals/expirations, and drive renegotiations to maximize value
Under stakeholder direction, source and qualify external vendors to fabricate components and fixtures, ensuring production meets quality, timeline, and profitability objectives for exhibit, event, and display deliverables
Actively search for new domestic and int’l vendor sources (APAC, EMEA, AMER) in wood, cabinet, vac-form, injection molding, aluminum/metal manufacturing, powder coating, fiber glass, plastics, technology, etc. Apply the necessary evaluation techniques to qualify new business vendors for purchases after receipt of NDA. Manage required NDA’s and contract(s) in compliance with company processes and client mandates
Proactively search for new materials and maintain a current selection in the material sample room
Assesses current material availability, reasonably predicts future availability based on the market, delivery systems, and other variables
Communicate and coordinate incoming orders with appropriate colleagues and external vendors
Acknowledges and responds to outreach in a timely fashion
Can effectively communicate our needs (the “what, why, and how”) with vendors
Tailors verbal communication styles to effectively reach and connect with multiple vendors
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
College degree or equivalent required
5+ years of experience purchasing materials and services in custom manufacturing
Has proven track record of building profitable business vendor relationships
Proficient in Microsoft 365
Proficiency in an ERP or Accounting Software
Possesses knowledge and understanding of manufacturing methods and processes that enable accurate assumptions leading to successful negotiations and conclusions
Proven track record of seeking, sourcing, and managing outcomes with multiple vendor relationships
Proven ability to meet deadlines and display time-management skills
Excellent at problem solving and providing solutions
Has successful experience working in a data-driven production setting where results are measured frequently
Works collaboratively by recognizing multiple viewpoints or differing concerns
Adapt and adjust to changing priorities and changing sense of urgency
Ability to act with integrity and professionalism
Brings attention to communication through confidence, articulation, and persuasiveness
Can instill confidence and earn respect from the Team for making solid decisions using supporting rationale

Familiarity with print manufacturing materials and consumables such as rolled goods, inks, adhesives, substrates, and finishing supplies
