Responsibilities
Geometric design of intersections, sidewalks, and ADA-compliant elements
DEP system design and private utility coordination
Utility conflict identification, resolution, and relocation support
Design of flood protection infrastructure
Grading, drainage, pavement markings, and signage
Signals and street lighting system design
Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) / construction staging
Preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, and specifications
Coordination with NYCDCC, NYCDOT, NYCDEP, MTA, NYC Parks, Private Utility companies, and other agencies/stakeholders
Participation in public outreach, community board meetings, and client/agency presentations
Field work including data collection, surveys, and construction observation
Construction support, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and change order evaluations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience a plus)
Detail-oriented with excellent communication and technical writing skills
0-4 years experience
Preferred
EIT certification preferred (but not required)
EIT Preferred (but not required)
