Human Resources Compliance Specialist

They are seeking a Human Resources Compliance Specialist to support a compliance initiative by reviewing and validating Form I-9 documentation to ensure alignment with USCIS requirements, maintaining accurate employment eligibility records, and supporting regulatory compliance efforts.

Responsibilities
Conduct a comprehensive audit of approximately 513 in-scope employee Form I-9 records
Review legacy paper I-9 forms currently maintained in physical files and binders
Validate I-9 completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and reverification requirements
Identify, document, and remediate errors or missing information in accordance with USCIS guidelines
Properly document all corrections and remediation actions to ensure audit readiness
Upload finalized, compliant I-9 records into MPower
Support the disposition of paper I-9 files in compliance with USCIS retention and destruction requirements
Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity throughout the process
Qualification
Required
Prior experience with Form I-9 review, auditing, or compliance
Strong knowledge of USCIS I-9 requirements and employment eligibility regulations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Comfort working independently within defined project guidelines
