Responsibilities
Serve as a resource to policyholders for safety-related questions and workplace risk concerns
Conduct individualized research and provide guidance to support compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety standards
Assist clients in developing and maintaining written Safety & Health Programs
Coordinate and deliver safety seminars and in-house training for policyholders
Support and enhance HEMIC’s online safety and risk management programs
Perform safety surveys and walkthroughs to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
Partner with clients to implement practical, sustainable safety improvements
Track departmental metrics and reports and assist with special projects as assigned
Provide operational support to the Safety & Risk Management team to ensure consistent service delivery
Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in safety, risk management, or a related field
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record required
Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage large and diverse audiences
Excellent customer service mindset with strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Comfortable working in high-pressure situations with professionalism and sound judgment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and general computer applications
Preferred
Associate degree in Safety, Risk Management, or a related field preferred
Safety-related certifications (e.g., CHST, OHST) strongly desired
Working knowledge of OSHA standards preferred
