Akkodis is seeking a QA Lead for a contract job with a client in Stamford, CT. The ideal candidate must have strong QA program leadership experience in BFSI and hands-on automation engineering skills.

Responsibilities

Lead end‑to‑end QA program planning, budgeting, resourcing, governance, and risk/RAID management across multi‑team workstreams
Establish enterprise‑level test strategy (functional, integration, E2E, UAT, NFR) aligned with product roadmaps and regulatory mandates including FFIEC, GLBA, SOX, and PCI DSS
Architect and implement automation frameworks across UI, API, and service layers using Selenium/Cypress/Playwright, RestAssured/Postman, JUnit/TestNG, and Cucumber/BDD integrated into CI/CD
Oversee release governance, go/no‑go decisions, rollout/rollback readiness, production quality monitoring, incident RCA, and problem management activities

Required

8+ years of software QA experience, including 5+ years leading enterprise QA programs in BFSI (consumer banking, payments, digital)
Proven automation engineering expertise across UI, API, and database layers, including framework design, coding standards, test coverage strategy, and strong Java + SQL skills
Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, Git, and reporting tools like Allure, Extent, or ReportPortal
Excellent stakeholder communication abilities with experience working across business, technology, compliance, and external vendor groups
