Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance reports and correspondences using BIRT or similar reporting tools, ensuring accuracy and performance
Analyze existing SQL queries for reporting and data extraction, performing debugging, optimization, and data validation as needed
Support backend development by implementing enhancements and bug fixes in Java/J2EE applications and integrating reports with backend services
Collaborate with QA teams and business stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve report-related issues during system validation and UAT
Assist with DB2 to PostgreSQL query conversions and maintain technical documentation for reports, queries, and fixes
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies while contributing to sprint-based development and continuous improvement activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
1–3 years of experience working with SQL databases and Java/J2EE backend development
Strong hands‑on experience with SQL (DB2/MySQL/PostgreSQL), including query analysis, optimization, and data manipulation for reporting
Practical exposure to reporting tools (BIRT preferred) and the ability to modify or enhance existing reports and queries within an Agile/Scrum development environment
