Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI or other BI tools
Design, build, and maintain reliable data models and transformations in the warehouse (e.g., dbt or SQL-based modeling)
Implement and monitor ELT/ETL pipelines from product databases and third-party tools, with support from the software engineering team for infrastructure where needed
Partner with business stakeholders to translate questions into data solutions and provide exploratory analysis when required
Present insights, recommendations, and narratives to leadership teams and internal stakeholders in clear, compelling ways
Develop, maintain, and champion data definitions, business rules, and data quality standards across the organization
Identify and drive both process and data improvements, proposing scalable solutions and collaborating cross-functionally to implement them
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Economics or related discipline)
6+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering or similar roles
3+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases
Experience designing and delivering advanced reports, dashboards, and analytical products
Experience with advanced SQL and data modeling (dimensional models, star schemas, warehouse concepts) are the most critical skills
Experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.), plus some exposure to ETL/ELT tools and dbt or similar transformation frameworks
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated success presenting to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership
Strong initiative, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills required
Some experience with data pipelines (e.g., Airflow, Fivetran, custom Python/ELT) and comfort collaborating with software engineers on deployment and infrastructure
Ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
Ability to act as a generalist: comfortable switching between low-level schema design, pipeline debugging, and high-level stakeholder conversations
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to lead projects with minimal direction; proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement
Experience working in small teams where flexibility, adaptability, and a broad skill set are essential
Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, systems, and processes
Strong commitment to continuous learning and applying new technologies and techniques to improve data practices
