Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and supervise the team, providing direction, performance feedback, training, and workload prioritization
Establish goals, standard work, and best practices for the Configuration Management/Document Control function
Serve as the primary point of contact for configuration management across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management
Direct and oversee all configuration management and document control activities, ensuring accurate control of engineering documentation, product structures, and technical data throughout the product lifecycle
Chair and lead the Change Control Board (CCB), ensuring engineering changes are complete, accurate, reviewed, approved, and fully implemented
Oversee engineering change processes, ensuring timely execution, traceability, and compliance with internal and external requirements
Own and oversee administration of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, including: User accounts, access rights, and system governance; Business processes and workflows (in collaboration with Engineering leadership); System training, documentation, and continuous improvement
Create, test, implement, and maintain PLM workflows, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Partner with IT and PLM vendors to coordinate system upgrades, enhancements, and issue resolution
Ensure PLM data integrity and alignment between PLM and ERP systems, including BOM accuracy and consistency
Serve as the focal point for all configuration management, technical data control, and data transfer processes
Lead and support internal and external audits related to configuration management, technical data, and regulatory compliance
Participate in the Engineering Jurisdiction and Classification team, supporting product classification in accordance with ITAR and other applicable regulations
Maintain visibility and real‑time status of all engineering change requests and configuration activities
Track metrics related to cycle time, accuracy, compliance, and workload
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cross‑functional alignment
Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by Engineering leadership

Required

U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred (Equivalent experience may be considered)
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in configuration management, engineering, or manufacturing within an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment
Minimum 2-5 years of leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience with PLM systems and engineering change management processes
Strong background in procedure development, process improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration
Strong leadership, coaching, and decision‑making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively at all organizational levels
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities
High ethical standards and professional integrity
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and related business systems

Preferred

Minimum 2-5 years of leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
