Director of Capital Markets
Talisman is a leading DG and C&I solar plus battery storage developer and IPP, seeking a Director of Capital Markets. This role involves leading financing execution for various assets, collaborating with multiple teams, and managing relationships with investors and lenders.
Responsibilities
Originate, structure, negotiate, and execute project finance transactions for DG solar and battery storage assets across the US
Lead construction debt, term debt, tax equity, tax credit transfer, warehouse, and portfolio financing transactions
Oversee financial modeling, valuation, and risk analysis for new investments, refinancings, and divestments
Present investment economics, risk assessment, and financing recommendations to executive and investment committees
Coordinate financing due diligence processes, working closely with internal teams and external counterparties
Lead financing strategy for new development opportunities, optimizing capital structure based on market conditions and investor appetite
Manage relationships with lenders, tax equity investors, infrastructure funds, advisors, and consultants
Support commercial and development teams by advising on project economics, contract structures, and bankability
Assist in the negotiation of key commercial agreements including PPAs, EPC contracts, equipment supply agreements, interconnection agreements, and O&M agreements
Build, manage, and mentor a team of finance professionals, including workload allocation, performance management, and hiring
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related discipline
10+ years of experience executing project finance, tax equity, and or M&A transactions within renewable energy, infrastructure, or power
Direct experience financing DG, C&I solar, community solar, and battery storage projects in the US
Strong understanding of US power markets, project economics, and merchant and contracted risk
Proven experience negotiating complex financing and transaction documentation
Established relationships with lenders, tax equity investors, and institutional capital providers
Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
Strong leadership presence with experience managing and developing teams
