They are seeking a Managing Director–level Data Scientist to lead the development of data-driven products that enhance client outcomes using proprietary data assets. The role includes overseeing research and product development for private capital and economic data products, as well as collaborating with various teams to scale data product development.

Responsibilities
Lead design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics and machine‑learning solutions using State Street’s proprietary data
Oversee methodological research and product development for private capital and economic data products
Collaborate with technology, research, and business teams to scale data product development and client‑facing analytics
Communicate insights, model performance, and product direction to clients and senior stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Expertise in Python, SQL, machine learning, AI, and modern data‑science techniques
Extensive knowledge of quantitative financial methods and experience working with large, complex financial datasets
Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics)
Exceptional communication, technical/quantitative, and collaborative product development skills are a must
5+ years of experience in data science, quantitative research, or a related role
