Lead Scrum Master
SPECTRAFOR is seeking a Lead Scrum Master to facilitate and coach engineering teams in Agile methodologies. The role involves deep understanding of the Scrum framework, effective facilitation of Scrum ceremonies, and the ability to resolve impediments blocking team progress.
Responsibilities
Deep Understanding of Scrum Framework: Thorough knowledge of Scrum values, principles, practices, and roles
Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile frameworks and methodologies such as Kanban, Scrum, and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework]. The ability to adapt and blend practices based on the team's and organization's needs is crucial
Agile Metrics & Reporting: Ability to track and interpret key agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts, cycle time) to identify areas for improvement at USAA
Effective Facilitator: Proven ability to effectively facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) and other team meetings
Coaching & Mentoring: Ability to coach and mentor engineering teams on agile principles and practices
Conflict Resolution: Skills in mediating disagreements and finding constructive solutions to conflicts within the team
Active Listening: Excellent listening skills to understand team members' concerns, needs, and perspectives
Excellent Communication: Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. The ability to communicate effectively with engineers, product owners, stakeholders, and management is essential
Technical Proficiency: While not necessarily a developer, a good Scrum Master should have a general understanding of software development processes and technologies
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve impediments that are blocking the team's progress

Adaptability: 3P Scrum Masters need to quickly adapt to new teams, projects, and organizational cultures
Knowledge Transfer: Look for 3P Scrum Masters who are willing to share their knowledge and mentor internal staff
