BSA AML Analytics Officer
Banesco USA is seeking a BSA AML Analytics Officer for our BSA & Compliance Department. The role involves conducting reviews and testing of transaction monitoring systems, assisting in BSA risk assessments, and serving as a subject matter expert in compliance and risk analytics.

Responsibilities
Conduct reviews and testing of the transaction monitoring and screening systems:
Model review, including review of material changes to transaction monitoring model, screening systems, or business
Model calibration, including qualitative coverage review, statistical analysis, and sample testing
Interface with external parties for data & model validation
Conduct qualitative reviews, statistical analysis and sample testing for new or modified transaction monitoring scenarios
Periodic review of whitelists used by the different systems of the bank
Assist in the completion of BSA risk assessments, including quantitative analysis, qualitative reviews, writing reports, creating summary presentations, and maintaining documentation:
BSA AML/OFAC risk assessment
Foreign corresponding banking BSA risk assessment
Country Risk assessment
BSA risk assessments of new products, services, threats, and trends
Conduct periodic reviews of the customer and account risk rating methodology:
Statistical analysis
Sample testing
Updating methodology document and maintaining documentation
Creating summary presentation
Conduct reviews and testing of enhanced due diligence requirements and review schedule
Serve as a subject matter and systems expert for the transaction monitoring and screening systems
Review and test new releases
Collaborate with MIS, IT and BSA to troubleshoot various items
Review, revise, or draft procedures or job aids regarding primary job duties
May have the opportunity to cross-train or assist with other risk analytics tasks such as:
Assist with the implementation of model risk management policy for other bank models
Conduct statistical & other quantitative analyses, including financial and risk modeling
Collaborates in driving the continued development of a risk management culture through communication and educational activities that emphasize the importance of risk management in all aspects of business and corporate decision making
Participates in various committees of the bank and as necessary responsible for presenting at those committees
Responsible for completing annual training program assigned
Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Education: Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or equivalent work experience
Experience: Four (4) years of experience in the Banking industry in the BSA or Risk unit or related field
Proficient and advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and Microsoft SQL
Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages
Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, Regulatory Agencies representatives, and External and Internal Auditors
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of the bank's system and processing activities
Knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations, including specific experience with BSA/AML, is required
Strong analytical skills in order to detect and identify weaknesses in the bank's systems and the ability to identify the root cause of the weakness
Strong presentation skills to various levels of the organization
Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills
Strong customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers
Ability to work and complete task producing high quality results within a fast-paced environment
