They are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead all operational functions, manage a leadership team, and drive performance across the business while building scalable systems and developing leaders.

Responsibilities
Lead and oversee operations across civil construction, concrete, and trucking divisions
Manage a leadership team of approximately 10 direct reports, including division managers, project managers, estimators, and functional leaders
Ensure successful execution of $1MM-$15MM projects, delivered safely, on time, and on budget
Standardize operating systems, workflows, and performance metrics across divisions and locations
Establish and track KPIs related to safety, productivity, quality, and profitability
Build and maintain a strong, safety-first culture
Develop and mentor leaders to support continued growth and acquisitions
Partner closely with ownership on strategic planning, budgeting, and expansion initiatives
Qualification
Required
10+ years of senior leadership experience in heavy civil construction or related fields
Strong civil construction background with experience in organizations of 100+ employees
Proven success scaling operations during periods of rapid growth
Strong operational and financial acumen
Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategy and execution
Must be eligible to work the U.S. without restrictions
Preferred
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
Experience supporting or integrating acquisitions is a plus
