Systems Analyst - Senior (Epic Radiant)
UPMC is looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to join their team. This role involves providing analytical services, defining requirements, and maintaining computer applications and systems to meet client IT and business needs.

Responsibilities
Own the design, build, maintenance, and optimization of Epic Radiant for inpatient and outpatient radiology
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for radiology workflows, including ordering, scheduling, protocoling, imaging, and resulting
Lead resolution of complex, cross‑module and interface issues, including workflow, result, and charge capture defects
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other analysts and promote build standards and best practices
Documentation: Complete detail‑oriented documentation for new and moderately complex processes
Responsible for the quality and validity of produced documents
Extract and document customer and business requirements for use by enterprise architecture and engineering teams (network, system, and software)
Second- and Third‑Level Support (including maintenance activities): Independently triage and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 support issues
Act as a mentor to less experienced staff in the resolution of Level 2 and Level 3 issues
Ability to manage problem resolution as appropriate
Project Management: Take ownership of projects, distribute tasks to team members, meet milestone completion dates, and update all project management and time‑tracking tools accordingly
Data Confidentiality and Security: Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times
Data Quality: Maintain data quality at all times
Vendor Relationships: Interact independently with vendors regarding technical issues and project initiatives, as necessary. Serve as a point of contact for issue escalation
Report Writing and Analysis: Write and analyze complex reports, modify reports as needed, mentor less experienced team members, and communicate with the business while acting as a business analyst
End‑User Training: Create training content, facilitate advanced user training sessions, and train peers
Process Improvement: Manage process improvement efforts, create and update processes as needed, and independently identify opportunities for improvement
Application Upgrades and Implementation: Identify new functionality and hardware requirements related to application upgrades and implementations. Create test plans; review and validate functionality; report issues; create and/or manage cutover plans, including downtime; and evaluate impact while coordinating efforts across multiple platforms as necessary
Communication: Demonstrate appropriate, clear, concise, and effective written and verbal communication in all interactions to build relationships and accomplish day‑to‑day work and projects
Interactions with Others: Complete projects, tasks, and initiatives using a team‑first approach. Collaborate with the team, provide feedback as appropriate, adapt to change with flexibility, and mentor less experienced staff
Self‑Development: Engage in continuous self‑study, training, and collaboration with senior team members; seek opportunities to broaden skill sets; stay current with industry and organizational trends; solicit feedback; and effectively incorporate feedback into work behaviors
System Integration: May be responsible for coordinating tasks and resources related to system integration, validating testing, and supporting implementation
Performs in accordance with system‑wide competencies and behaviors
Performs Other Duties As Assigned
Qualification
Required
Typically has 5+ years of experience with modern technology and application support through education or practical experience
Ability to work independently and provide guidance in a team‑based environment
Preferred
Epic Radiant experience
Experience with Interventional Radiology and Mammography workflows
Skilled in gathering and interpreting end‑user requirements to design, build, and optimize Epic Radiant workflows and functionality in alignment with imaging operations and clinical best practices
Ability to meet onsite travel requirements when needed
Preferred Licensure: Epic Radiant Certification
