Responsibilities
Assist multiple attorneys with preparations for depositions, mediations and trials
Provide administrative duties including copying, scanning, handling incoming and outgoing mail, organizing and maintaining case files and related indexes, answering phones, scheduling meetings, and calendaring deadlines
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in various software applications, especially Microsoft Word
Experience opening and closing matters
Filing and e-filing documents with courts
E-discovery processes
Drafting legal documents and correspondence
Assist multiple attorneys with preparations for depositions, mediations and trials
Provide other administrative duties including copying, scanning, handling incoming and outgoing mail, organizing and maintaining case files and related indexes, answering phones, scheduling meetings, and calendaring deadlines
Excellent computer skills
Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
Attention to detail
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities with ease
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Handling a large workload for a busy defense litigation practice
Must pass all required background checks, including criminal
Preferred
A minimum of five years of relevant experience supporting a litigation practice
