Operations Manager: Credentialing & AI Integration

Responsibilities
Manage the daily lifecycle of provider credentialing and recredentialing, ensuring 100% compliance with state regulations and internal policies. Incumbent will manage a small credentialing staff (onshore & offshore) responsible for direct credentialing, both physician and facility and overseeing delegated credentialing entities
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the development of a scalable, proprietary platform. You will translate operational needs into technical requirements to integrate AI into document collection, verification, and organization
Analyze existing "manual-heavy" workflows to identify opportunities for automation, with the specific goal of drastically reducing credentialing cycle times
Maintaining, Tracking, and Managing rosters for accuracy and completeness for final reporting that is needed for timely setup for claims payment, member assignment, and directory display
Maintain rigorous oversight of delegated credentialing processes, ensuring that as we automate, we remain audit-ready and compliant with all regulatory bodies
Facilitate interdepartmental communication between Leadership, Network, and in-house engineering teams to ensure the platform meets both operational and technical standards
This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent work experience with focus in credentialing
2+ years of provider credentialing experience, 1-year supervisory experience to include managing offshore resources
High degree of knowledge in NCQA and/or JCO credentialing standards
Proficient computer experience, i.e. Google Suite and Microsoft Suite of applications
Experience with credentialing software (Medallion, CAQH, CredSimple)
Experience with Process Improvement
Excellent written, verbal, presentation and leadership skills. Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred
Managed Care/Hospital Credentialing
Experience with state and federal regulatory agencies
Proficient in Google Suite of applications, Microsoft Word/Excel, Adobe, TrueForm, Access and/or credentialing software programs
