Responsibilities

Help manage and coordinate the different activities of the UCR/City of Hope Cancer Research and Education (UCR/CoH-CARE) Partnership program that is funded by a grant from the NIH National Cancer Institute (NCI)

Required

High school diploma and some college or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree (preferentially in business administration or related field)
Experience working for an institution of higher education
Minimum of 2 years of experience
Ability to work as a team player and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Skill in independently researching questions and making appropriate contacts when problem solving
Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to compose business correspondence, edit and use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar
Skill in communicating effectively and professionally using tact and diplomacy

Preferred

Knowledge of managing large datasets using spreadsheets and other web tools (e.g., REDCap)
Management skills to plan, coordinate, and direct numerous complex activities
Knowledge of University policies and procedures related to grant management and procedural practices, general accounting practices, travel and entertainment reimbursement
Knowledge (or interest in learning) Web page development and maintenance
