Electrical Engineer
Arconic is a leading provider of aluminum products and is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their Hotline Department in Alcoa, Tennessee. The successful candidate will provide engineering support to maintenance, safety, quality, and operations, focusing on troubleshooting and developing solutions for equipment and process improvements.

Responsibilities
Provide engineering support to maintenance and operations across the department including restoring flow during breakdowns and developing preventative maintenance systems (including during the off shift)
Troubleshoot equipment and process problems to root cause, providing engineered solutions to these problems
Manage large equipment rebuilds – development, justification, management and implementation of these projects
Develop into the technical equipment expertise for the department and provide technical leadership
Support the department’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental goals
Provide after-hours support (this can include nights, weekends, and holidays, if the need arises)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an electrical engineering field
Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred
5 years' experience and working knowledge of electrical systems and manufacturing processes and principles
5 years' experience in high voltage electrical equipment and component engineering, design and application specification, maintenance and failure analysis
Working knowledge and experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Experience in estimating, justifying, managing and installing capital projects
Experience designing, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical power and control systems and equipment, including transformers, switchgear, transmission lines, sub-stations, breakers and relays
Working knowledge of electrical engineering, industry safety standards and related codes and specifications
Strong electrical engineering, maintenance and reliability background
Understanding of world class manufacturing techniques such as lean manufacturing, JIT, SPC, TQM, etc
Strong written and oral communications skills
Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills
Experience in justifying, managing and executing capital projects
Experience leading, managing and implementing electrical projects including design, installation, and commissioning
Oversee the activities of craft persons involved in the implementation of engineered solutions and maintenance activities. In this role, be able to initiate and maintain an ongoing dialogue with personnel to identify issues, clarify requirements, and facilitate use of safe work practices, personal protective equipment, clearance / lock-tag-verify procedures
Manage external vendors who provide electrical design and support functions
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and with cross functional teams
