Laboratory Technician, Formulation

Responsibilities

Prepare buffers, solutions, and formulation solutions according to approved procedures and batch records
Accurately weigh, measure, and mix chemical components using analytical balances and volumetric equipment
Operate standard laboratory equipment including pH meters, centrifuges, balances, and mixers
Perform pH adjustments, filtration, aliquoting, and labeling of formulations
Maintain accurate documentation in batch records, and controlled forms in compliance with GMP
Follow cleanroom protocols, gowning procedures, and contamination control practices
Support inventory management of chemicals, consumables, and laboratory supplies
Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment as required
Adhere to chemical safety, waste disposal, and environmental health and safety (EHS) guidelines

Required

Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred)
Basic understanding of molecular biology techniques and principles
Ability to follow detailed written procedures and work instructions
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a regulated environment
Comfortable working in cleanroom and GMP-controlled laboratory settings
Knowledge of chemical compatibility, safe handling, and storage practices
Prior experience preparing buffers, solutions, or formulations in a laboratory setting
Hands-on experience with standard laboratory equipment (balances, pH meters, centrifuges)
Familiarity with chemical safety, MSDS/SDS documentation, and laboratory safety protocols

Preferred

Experience working in GMP-regulated and/or cleanroom environments
Experience with molecular biology techniques or reagents is a plus
