Principal Domain Architect - Integration

The Principal Domain Architect - Integration will establish architecture standards, influence modern integration practices, and act as a strategic partner across various teams to ensure effective integration solutions.

Responsibilities
Establish architecture standards for everything “integration”. For example, MCP Management & Lifecycle, API and Event Management & Lifecycle, Data Integrations, Cloud-native patterns and integrations etc
Influence and evangelize modern integration practices by providing architectural guidance, evaluating trade-offs and shaping effective solution designs. (Practices like AI-First approach, Event-driven and Micro-service-based architectures)
Define and evolve end-to-end architecture for the integration across domains, platforms and sub-systems. (e.g. API, AI/ML, Data, Integration, IAM, Observability etc.)
Act as a strategic partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Program Leads, Domain Architects and Enterprise Architects
Anticipate integration risks early and drive from tactical to strategic reusable integration approaches (API-first, events, MCP usage, messaging and canonical models, etc.)
Partner with other domain architects to align on cross-domain and integration strategy and inter-operability decisions
Review vendor technologies for fit, total cost of ownership and integration complexity
Drive adherence to platform wide capability mapping, platform standards, playbooks and guardrails
Support M&A integration efforts by providing architectural oversight and guidance
Qualification
Required
Legally authorized to work in the U.S
Commutable distance to Tampa, FL
8+ years of experience in software architecture and engineering
Hands-on experience with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure or GCP and modern platforms like Service Mesh, Observability stacks, Kafka, Serverless, K8s etc
Exceptional ability to decouple complex systems into coherent logical building blocks, capabilities and integration contracts
Experience working in enterprise and/or federated architecture environments with multiple complex domains
Prior experience in Platform Engineering and building horizontal shared or central capabilities
Experience driving cross-domain alignment in complex organizations
Deep knowledge about cloud compliance, DevOps models, security, data and AI integration points
Expert in building and architecting distributed systems with end-to-end integration and observability
