Senior Human Systems Integration (HSI) Specialist
QED Systems, LLC is currently recruiting a Senior Human Systems Integration (HSI) Specialist to join their team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The role involves supporting the Project Manager Intelligence Systems & Analytics by providing HSI input to technical requirements, conducting user needs analysis, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance user experience.

Responsibilities
Assist the government in acquiring new intelligence products by providing HSI input to technical requirements, user stories, and interoperability exchanges, writing test plans and test reports, and collecting test data needed to fully realize intelligence modernization
Perform front-end analysis and experimental work when developing/configuring a new system
Work with the engineering team to define the architecture, user workflow, information and interaction needs for new and current systems
Direct experience and oversight/management of HSI personnel for investigation of existing deployed systems for potential upgrades or more intensive HSI review
Investigate existing deployed systems for potential enhancements to improve user experience or more intensive HSI review
Conduct mission, task, and function analyses of military C5ISR systems at a level of detail suitable for alternative design decisions. Develop user personas
Plan, conduct, and interpret user needs/requirements analysis using interviews, surveys, performance testing, and lessons learned data
Prepare usability metrics, execute usability assessments and analysis, and utilize other user feedback mechanisms to inform program priorities and acquisition strategies in accordance with Army Regulations
Provide user engagement strategies, collated results from user engagements, and requirements derived from user experiences
Conduct safety and human error analyses using fault trees, event trees, and root-cause analyses
Complete job/task analyses, training systems requirements analyses, and training systems designs including embedded training systems
Work closely with the hardware and software leads and their team(s) to ensure Human System Integration equities are tailored to meet the needs of each
Understand the Adaptive Acquisition Framework and be flexible in application of Human Systems Integration methodologies to support changing needs of the program
Qualification
Required
Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills
Experience supporting product manager team(s) from requirements through sustainment with evaluating and providing suggestions for the seven domains of HSI (human factors engineer, manpower, personnel capabilities, training, habitability, safety and occupational health, and force protection and survivability)
Direct experience with application of User-Centered Design principles and methods for new or developing systems across a complex program portfolio
Master's degree required. Degree in Human Systems, Human Factors Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Psychology or related field required
At least ten (10) years' related work experience is required
ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Top Secret w/SCI
