Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer
Feather Robotics is a VC-backed startup focused on building general-purpose robots. They are seeking a Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer to own the design and production processes of electro-mechanical systems, contributing to the development of innovative labor platforms.

Responsibilities
Own electro-mechanical designs from Concept → CAD → prototype → production
Design for manufacturing: wire harnesses, PCBs, and assembly
Reliability engineering for wire routing and electrical connectors
Setting up manufacturing and assembly procedures for wiring and quality control
Mechanical design of wire channels and paths through the system
Size and select the appropriate wires for the rated motion
Hands on building using soldering and crimping tools
Working with vendors to source wire harnesses and connectors
Qualification
Required
Bachelors or Masters in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
5+ years experience designing products and complex electro-mechanical systems
Some PCB design experience
Wire harness design experience for motion joints
Hands-on experience with prototypes, shop tools, and bringing hardware to life
Understanding of electronics packaging
Understanding of battery design and management
Some leadership experience
Preferred
Experience at a large consumer product firm is a plus (2 years +)
Soldering and crimping experience is a plus
