Tech Publications Project Mgr
Crane Company is seeking a Technical Publications Project Manager who will work cross-functionally with various teams to manage technical documentation projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality documentation.

Responsibilities
Interface as required with other disciplines including engineering, manufacturing, repair and overhaul, purchasing, and suppliers as required to exchange information, resolve problems, and achieve results
Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that maintenance documentation meets industry standards and customers’ requirements and standards
Collaborate with other engineering departments and coordinate their specialized contributions to the development of the documentation
Provide support for internal technical writers and suppliers to improve production processes
Prepare schedules and cost estimates on writing efforts required
Ensure external activities required to support the customer acceptance of publications, e.g. reviews and verification, are scheduled and completed to support on-time delivery
Function as Technical Publications interface for internal and external customer; assist customer as required to resolve content discrepancies
Translate customer specifications; communicate requirements to offshore and domestic vendors
Review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance
Take action to resolve problems and minimize delays
Mentor staff
Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience managing Technical Publications projects or aerospace documentation requiring industry knowledge and familiarity with publishing software/tools
Expert knowledge of practices and procedures associated with the industry standards governing the content and format of aerospace technical publications
Understand and interpret writing requirements and contract deliverables
Familiarity with project management tools, methodologies, and best practices
Excellent documentation, organization, and time management skills
Ability to write procedures, reports, and maintenance documentation
Demonstrated ability to lead projects through complete cycle
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment
Associate's Degree from a two-year college with 5 years aerospace experience or 10 years progressive experience in an aerospace publications environment
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related discipline
CAPM or PMP certification
