Institute Specialist I, AFHE Senior Fellows Lead

The George Washington University is seeking an Institute Specialist I, AFHE Senior Fellows Lead for the Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity program. This role involves managing and strengthening the global network of AFHE Senior Fellows, supporting program operations, evaluation, and engagement strategies.

Responsibilities

Manage Salesforce interface, including data collection, storage, reports and dashboards
Collaborate with Salesforce consultants to meet program needs. Collaborate with the program team to improve program monitoring, evaluation, and analysis
Administering the annual Senior Fellows survey, including data collection and qualitative analysis
Tracking alumni engagement and contributions to health equity work
Supporting the drafting of annual evaluation and impact reports
Program development and operational support
Collaborating with the Program Director, Faculty, and Senior Fellows Advisory Board on program design
Helping develop and maintain a network of expert facilitators, speakers, and collaborators for alumni-focused programming
Participating in weekly team meetings and assisting in the planning and execution of program activities
Performing additional duties as assigned
The Senior Fellows Lead will lead and support efforts to build a vibrant, lifelong community of Senior Fellows
Designing and implementing programs and initiatives that strengthen alumni engagement
Lead and oversee senior fellow programming including annual convenings, online workshops and webinars
Developing virtual learning and engagement opportunities for alumni
Managing coaching, mentorship, and peer-learning initiatives within the Senior Fellows community
Co-creation of new Senior Fellow engagement strategies with the Program Director
Showcasing Senior Fellows’ impact through communications products, including social media, publications, and videos
Strategic thinking around the best way to communicate success and impact of the fellowship with potential stakeholders and funders
Develop and implement project plans for the senior fellows convenings, delegate convening tasks to appropriate program staff team members, and manage convening project timeline
Review fellow participation and engagement, and respond to fellows’ individual needs, in collaboration with program leadership
Collaborate with program leadership to review convening contracts and collaborate with on-the-ground facilitators and external consultants to execute event logistics
Review convening strategy and planning with staff, and revise convening plan strategies based on program staff and leadership feedback

Required

BA/BS in a related discipline plus 5 years of relevant professional experience OR a Master's in a related discipline plus 3 years of relevant professional experience
Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position

Preferred

Master's degree in a related field
Three+ years of relevant professional experience preferred
Professional experience designing and implementing programs and initiatives that strengthen alumni engagement, including front-facing relationship development
Deep understanding of the root causes of health and social inequities and a demonstrated commitment to health equity
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to produce content for diverse audiences (a writing sample will be required)
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-cultural teams
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Self-starter with high levels of initiative, resourcefulness, and adaptability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant digital platforms
Experience in convening/events within global environments (including identification of partners, speakers, and site visits)
Passionate about social change, skilled in engagement strategy, and excited to work with a dynamic, global network of leaders advancing health equity
Able to travel internationally
