Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through outbound calls, emails, and industry networking for Southern Marine Supply
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and aligning solutions across the company
Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by promoting products and services, including marine air conditioning, refrigeration, water purification systems, and other related products
Promote and cross-sell complementary products to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction
Maintain a high level of knowledge about the product lines of each company to effectively communicate features, benefits, and competitive advantages to clients
Monitor industry trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and product development
Track all sales activities, opportunities, and leads in CRM software, providing regular updates to management on sales performance
Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer visits as needed to promote company offerings and build relationships
Work closely with internal teams including operations, customer service, and marketing to ensure a seamless customer experience

Travel: Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer visits as needed to promote company offerings and build relationships
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including operations, customer service, and marketing to ensure a seamless customer experience
Strong understanding of the marine industry, particularly marine air conditioning and water purification systems
Proficient with CRM systems and familiar with market trends in yachting and marine sectors
Proven expertise in outbound sales, lead generation, negotiation, and communication
Skilled in analyzing market data and sales metrics
Strong customer relationship management and problem-solving skills
Customer-focused with the ability to multitask and manage multiple accounts
Adaptable to changing market conditions and product offerings
Self-motivated, able to work independently, and collaborate effectively with internal teams
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent years of experience
Background screening
Drug screening

Preferred

Experience selling marine products such as AC units, refrigeration systems, and water filtration technologies
Strong understanding of the yachting and marine services industry
