Responsibilities

Support effective long-term client/contractor relationships
Manage projects and maintain schedule, budget, and profitability of assigned projects, overseeing preparation of plans, specifications, proposals and RFC packages
Lead delivery efforts on projects with all aspects of Transportation Design from conceptual and preliminary engineering to final design
Collaborate with management to determine long-range plans and objectives, including recommendations on project staffing, evaluating and mentoring of subordinate staff
Lead and provide input on Marketing activities for alternative delivery, regional Clients, and Local Municipal agencies
Provide support and training to Staff-level Engineers
Represent WSP's alternative delivery capabilities in assigned locations, markets, and at industry associations as appropriate
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
12+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering, civil and infrastructure design
Engineer license required (multi-state preferred)
Advanced proficiency with civil engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, standard of care, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues
Strong working knowledge of relevant civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements, and the business impact upon the organization
Works independently and provides guidance and leadership to mid-level to senior level team or project members, with strict adherence to QA/QC
Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively, persuasively, and tactfully interact with employees at all levels of the organization. Comfortable with Mentoring and Training Junior Staff
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements

Preferred

Master's degree in engineering
Strong Relationships with FDOT/Central Florida Express/Florida's Turnpike Delivering and Managing Projects
Experience in Managing and Delivering Alternative Delivery Projects
Strong experience in managing the review and approval of documents and discipline-specific deliverables, certifications, processes, and plans in a multi-project environment is highly desirable
