Responsibilities

Train to perform Coaxial Splicing, Node Splits, electronic retrofits & Power Supply Maintenance in new and existing networks
Train in troubleshooting network issues that affect performance
Train to perform work coax and fiber related outages
Train to perform pole transfers, set anchors, and rearrange existing pole attachments to clear power violations
Comply with OSHA and industry safety requirements!
Work in high traffic conditions with the ability to properly set up signs/cones, control, and direct traffic
Ensure that work is completed in a neat and professional manner per company guidelines
Possess good planning, organizational and logical problem-solving skills
When it is needed work well with a crew of 3 to 5 people, as well as individual assignments to complete jobs
Highly motivated and willing to adapt to all types of weather conditions
Emergency responses when required due to storm damage or disasters cause network outages
Able to perform physical labor (lift in excess 75 pounds) in outdoor weather environments
Able to carry 28’ extension ladder and climb to heights above 18.’
Train to identify and work in proximity of primary, secondary line voltages and other utility related hazards
Perform work in utility bucket trucks and aerial lifts on utility pole lines in a safe manner
Willingness to be trained to climb utility poles when required
Ability to work in confined spaces
Effectively use and maintain PPE provided and follow safety procedures
The ability to work with specialized test equipment, hand tools and all types of motorized equipment
Train to perform pole line construction (strand, aerial fiber, and coax on existing utility poles)
Rearrange existing pole attachments to utility company requirements
Train to transport cable reel trailers to job sites via bucket trucks or other vehicles when needed
On-call, Maintenance Window (12-6am) and potential weekend work when required to maintain project schedules or emergencies
Perform construction work such as digging holes to repair cables, placing cable/fiber in trenches, or pulling in conduit when required

Maintain logs, checklists and write job reports daily!
Possess a valid driver license with a clean driving record
Able to read blueprints, design prints, SOW's, and product training manuals
Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Willingness to work inside maintenance window (12-6am), when required
Pass E-verify and job specific certifications

Preferred

General Broadband or Telecommunications knowledge a plus
Applicants that possess some construction background, industry knowledge, or technical experience should apply
