Senior Budget Administrator
The University of Southern California is seeking a Senior Budget Administrator for the USC Keck School of Medicine - Alzheimer Therapeutic Research Institute. This role involves preparing project budgets, serving as a liaison between departments, and ensuring compliance with university and government policies.

Responsibilities
Participate with Neurotranslational Division Director in the preparation proposals, Data agreements, material transfers, and service agreements within parameters of sponsored and non-sponsored research guidelines. Oversee and communicate submission process, both paper and electronic. Reviews documents for completeness and compliance
Develop, prepare, and finalize project budgets. Provide budget justification
Serve as primary liaison and active partner between Neurotranslational Division Director, research groups, and other departments. Respond to sponsor inquiries
Collaborate with Office of Sponsored Research to ensure awards are set up properly and cost-sharing requirements are fulfilled. Initiates cost transfers
Review and reconcile expenditures. Advise on post award spending and commitment activity. Oversee compliance related to fund and revenue
Develop and communicate reports supporting project status. Create effective forecasting and decision aids
Participate in contract closeout process. Submit final reports and certificates. Complies information and documents needed for audit inquiries
Understand, apply, and advise on university and government policies for projects
Serves as a resource on subject area and overall technical resource to Division Director and other University staff
Participate in and contributes to process improvements. Leads other staff in group projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Bachelor's degree Business Administration
Bachelor's degree Finance
Bachelor's degree Economics
Bachelor's degree Accounting
Bachelor's degree in related field(s)

Demonstrated budget experience, including knowledge of government and fund accounting, and generally accepted accounting principles and practices
Ability to interpret, provide clarity and conceptualize complex financial data and policies
Strong analytical, qualitative, communication, interpersonal, organization, guidance, computer and spreadsheet skills
Preferred
Master's degree
5 years
University budget experience and/or thorough knowledge of university financial systems, policies and procedures
Experience with database administration and management
Demonstrated supervisory and/or project management experience
