Instrument Technician, Sweeny Refinery

Responsibilities
Install, remove, calibrate, and repair refinery electronic digital, analog, and pneumatic process control instruments
Tune instrument control loops
Test and maintain instrument safety systems
Troubleshoot, maintain, and overhaul process control valves
Fabricate and install small‑diameter instrument tubing
Test and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers
Prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect activities
Maintain compressor control systems
Maintain service reports with documentation compliance
Collaborate and work closely with Instrument group and engineering
Qualification
Required
Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
Valid driver's license
Associate's degree or higher in Instrument Technology or Electronics Technology
