Responsibilities
Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks (2D & 3D)
Own drawings, tolerancing, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5) for production-ready designs
Contribute to the design of implantable mechanical subsystems, including pumps, connectors, drivelines, and implant tools
Design and support fixtures and tooling for prototyping and manufacturing
Work closely with technicians, suppliers, quality, and V&V teams
Support verification, validation, and design control activities
Help document designs for FDA / ISO compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
4+ years of mechanical design experience in medical devices - ideally implantable devices
Strong SolidWorks capability (assemblies, drawings, release-ready models)
Solid understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis
Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO 13485)
Comfortable owning designs and working cross-functionally
