Responsibilities
Accurately perform technical accounting and claims operational duties such as processing premiums and claims bordereaux and cash allocation activities
Analysis of policies where cash/technical discrepancies are identified to determine root causes and make recommendations for correction and ongoing process improvements
Incoming cash allocation and reconciliation according to policy terms and agreements and overall cash management activities, such as bank deposits, aged balances, YTD payments
Ensure the Operations monthly closing is completed timely and accurately, supporting the finance closing activities process
Work collaboratively with other functional areas (Member managers, Claims, Finance) and externals (MGA’s/TPA’s) to clarify and resolve queries, incorrect data, and missing information
Support ad-hoc projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
At least 3 years of experience in insurance/reinsurance operations required
Account receivables and good understanding of operational processes and ledger management
College degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent insurance work experience required
Strong Excel skills required
Experience resolving complex accounts, and cash and technical reconciliations
Basic ability to read and understand reinsurance/insurance policies/contracts
Strong ability to multitask and work on different systems and accounts on a daily basis is necessary to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities
Solid organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical skills
Be able to perform with an extremely high level of attention to detail
Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes
Strong communication skills. Ability to interact with internal and external clients/MGA's/TPA's in a professional manner
Candidates must have their own reliable and secure high-speed internet access (no hot spots/satellite dishes) to work from home
You must be authorized to work for any US employer
You must reside in the United States
