Responsibilities
Overseeing environmental programs and activities to ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
Serving as a liaison with employees, internal stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
Providing training and guidance to staff on environmental policies, procedures, and compliance obligations
Conducting environmental inspections, monitoring, and sampling, and analyzing related data
Researching emerging environmental regulations and compliance trends and develop recommendations for management
Preparing and maintaining regulatory applications, technical reports, and professional presentations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, environmental science, biology, or a related field
Two (2) years of experience performing environmental and compliance related analyses and studies
Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of application
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation
Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination
Preferred
Experience as an environmental consultant or environmental regulator is desirable
Certification as a Nevada Certified Environmental Manager preferred
Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) is desirable
